* 14 months * Can't really remember exactly when this started, but Emma started from chewing on her fingers/hand when she was teething or something, slowly that seemed to have become a comfortor for her. She started sucking the finger when she's sleepy and then slowly sucking it more and more... when she's being told off, or crying because she can't get what she wants, then she'd suck her finger to calm and comfort herself. Funny thing is, she only sucks the right hand index finger most of the time. I was a bit worried about that. I'm okay with her sucking fingers, if she would rotate them. But only 1 finger was making the finger very wrinkly and dry. I worry that the skin may break, but the nurse on the WellChild help line said we can't really do much about it and it's normal for the kids to do that.
