Reflections after 11 days

A few observations we've made:

Her hair is getting lighter. It seemed to be quite dark when she was born but is now getting a bit lighter.
She has started to really enjoy her baths. I think the key to that is hotter water.
She has stopped screaming when you change her nappy when its really dirty! I think she's realised that we are helping her out.
I think she has blue eyes, but it may be too early to be sure.

I think her hair colour is starting to get lighter, too.

With the nappy changing... I've noticed something recently, if she cries and wants you to change her, then as soon as you put her on the changing table, she settles down. But every now and then, half way through wiping her clean and dressing her again, she will start crying again. But she's definitely getting better at being changed. Normally would settle down by the time you almost finish dressing her.

If she cries and you put her on the changing table... she doesn't settle, it usually means there are other reasons she's crying... normally means she's hungry :P

Well, most people say that she looks more like dad; some say mum... so I put our photos onto a website for a test... Result #1 - 50/50 Result # 2 - 16% more like dad... First day at Daycare

Today is the first day Emma starts daycare. She will be in daycare on Tuesday and Thursdays from now. I also have the person from property management company coming over to take photos of our house for renting at 2pm. So, I was busy cleaning and tidying up the house while she's at daycare. After I got everything done and just got out of the shower, I got a call from the daycare. At first I thought, oh no... but then, they only called to let me know that Emma is okay... just in case I'm wondering but feel bad to call. So apparently she had her bottle shortly after daddy dropped her off. Then went to sleep for 2.5 hours... Had another 200ml and was playing on the floor when they called me around 12:45. She told me that Emma is a really easy baby, so far. Sounds very good! I think she behaves better there!! At home, sometimes she won't go to sleep... gets too happy... Hmm... :P At least we know she's okay in daycare... and mum is okay today, very busy actually! :P Sally

Woo finally rolling over caught on video!

This morning when I was getting Emma out of the bed for her 2nd feed, I couldn't find the camera's memory card. Oh well, so I put her down for tummy time anyway and thinking, I bet she's gonna roll over this time and we'd miss it on video again! Yep! Damn! Later I found the memory card and put her on video again... but it only has 7 mins left! Bummer... I thought she might roll over just as the camera is running out of memory... no no, she didn't. Very close so many times though! But now I know what the secret is for her rolling over... She'd have one arm straight and pushing hard, the other tucked in... and she always likes to wiggle to a certain direction very hard... and babies have heavier heads :P So... she just keeps pulling towards one direction and... way she goes... rolls over. Finally... in the afternoon, when I was playing with her on tummy time again... video on... after so many close ones... she finally rolls over and caught on camera! Yah! (These p...
