What a trip...
Yesterday after my physio appointment at uni, I had a quick work meeting for 1.5 hours. Then... I went off to Bunnings to pick up something for work.
That's the start of the "fun trip" of the day... First I got there and decided to park at a spot in the last minute, so I didn't do a good parking job. Then I tried to correct it but still over the line to the park on the right. I thought, there's like 100 other parks and also quite a few one next to that anyway.. who cares.
So I went to do my shopping. Came out... another car parked so closed to me (as it was in the lines but I was over the line :P) so I had to climb in from the passenger side. Then I found a note on my windscreen calling me an asshole. I was too lazy to climb out to get it.
I got to Pak's Save and read the note.. it said something like...
Thank you for parking so close, next time you should leave a can opener so I can get my car out. Asshole like you should take the bus.
Funny. (it's one of those printed pads... by the look of it)
Fair enough if the person wasn't happy... but oh well.. :P
Then half way through shopping, my stomach started to hurt quite a bit, a while later, I think it must had been something I've eaten... so... I think I need to speed up the shopping and I did...
Now, the reason I went to Pak'n Save was because the car needs petrol and the only petrol voucher we have is from Pak'n Save fuel, so I thought I will do the shopping first, might get a 6cent off instead of 4.
After I was done, it came to $93.xx, almost $100 but doesn't matter... or doesn't it? I saw the big 10 cents off sign. !)@$&*!@! *sigh* Never mind.
Then I spent another 5 mins trying to pop the door for the petrol open.. it was really really annoying and I was not happy at all. Because I was hungry, and need to go to the bathroom and... I can't just drive off without petrol!! Eventually I opened it by putting the car key in the gap.
Okay, got that part sorted, then I found out that the new Camry's "petrol hole" is smaller, so you can't sit the nozzle in it and leave it there!
Worse, then I found out that the petrol thingy at Pak'n Save doesn't have the hook to keep the petrol coming.. you have to hold it.
It kept clicked off as I wasn't holding it right... so eventually... I had petrol spit out of the tank... (while an old couple looking rather impatient queuing up behind me)
Man... there's a reason we have hubbies! Filling up the car is one of them!!
Anyway so finally got my petrol and everything... and I looked at the price of the petrol... after discount... wait, it's more expensive than Gull without any discount!!!
The stomach started to hurt more now... so I got home, left the shopping in the car...then you can imagine the rest...
Moral of the story?
Sometimes trying to save a few cents ended up costing you more than you think!
*sigh*
