Pushing forward, starting to crawl...

Yesterday when we were watching her play, she was so determined to get to where she wanted to go... by pushing both of her legs together and pushing forward.

Today, she spent a lot more time moving from one end to another. Even our friends who we visited in the morning said she will be crawling soon. I remember the daycare people saying something like she's sort of crawling, too.

We watched her play today and for a while I was talking to her grandparents in CHCH on speaker phone. She was so amused by it and just keep moving towards it. I kept moving the phone further and further away, and eventually, there was a few proper crawls towards the phone!

Wow...

Well, we will give her a few more weeks and see how it goes.

Because, for about 2 weeks now, she was able to get to where she wanted to go by moving directions and rolling... now she can sort of push forward to get to where she wants to go as well as rolling :P

First day at Daycare

Today is the first day Emma starts daycare. She will be in daycare on Tuesday and Thursdays from now. I also have the person from property management company coming over to take photos of our house for renting at 2pm. So, I was busy cleaning and tidying up the house while she's at daycare. After I got everything done and just got out of the shower, I got a call from the daycare. At first I thought, oh no... but then, they only called to let me know that Emma is okay... just in case I'm wondering but feel bad to call. So apparently she had her bottle shortly after daddy dropped her off. Then went to sleep for 2.5 hours... Had another 200ml and was playing on the floor when they called me around 12:45. She told me that Emma is a really easy baby, so far. Sounds very good! I think she behaves better there!! At home, sometimes she won't go to sleep... gets too happy... Hmm... :P At least we know she's okay in daycare... and mum is okay today, very busy actually! :P Sally

Woo finally rolling over caught on video!

This morning when I was getting Emma out of the bed for her 2nd feed, I couldn't find the camera's memory card. Oh well, so I put her down for tummy time anyway and thinking, I bet she's gonna roll over this time and we'd miss it on video again! Yep! Damn! Later I found the memory card and put her on video again... but it only has 7 mins left! Bummer... I thought she might roll over just as the camera is running out of memory... no no, she didn't. Very close so many times though! But now I know what the secret is for her rolling over... She'd have one arm straight and pushing hard, the other tucked in... and she always likes to wiggle to a certain direction very hard... and babies have heavier heads :P So... she just keeps pulling towards one direction and... way she goes... rolls over.
