What a little monkey!

There's been a few nights where Emma was too hyper after being put to bed. Then she'd be moving back and forth, left and right in the cot. Occasionally banging her little head on the bars and on the front (headboard).

Daddy usually sits there and read while waiting for her to go to sleep.

Every now and then he looks up, he will see a big smile from Emma looking at him.
Sometimes we have to leave her by herself, so she will eventually settle down.

Last night, it took her 2 hours to settle down!

Not sure if she's just happy? Not tired enough yet? Too alert? Or it's too hot?

Some nights it only takes 30 mins and we could just leave her to settle herself to sleep, then it's not too bad at all as we'd be in our room watching TV! :P

When I told my mother in law about this little one, and what she's doing... she emailed back and said: "What a little monkey Emma is! Sorry to tell you, but that is exactly how her dear daddy was at night."

First day at Daycare

Today is the first day Emma starts daycare. She will be in daycare on Tuesday and Thursdays from now. I also have the person from property management company coming over to take photos of our house for renting at 2pm. So, I was busy cleaning and tidying up the house while she's at daycare. After I got everything done and just got out of the shower, I got a call from the daycare. At first I thought, oh no... but then, they only called to let me know that Emma is okay... just in case I'm wondering but feel bad to call. So apparently she had her bottle shortly after daddy dropped her off. Then went to sleep for 2.5 hours... Had another 200ml and was playing on the floor when they called me around 12:45. She told me that Emma is a really easy baby, so far. Sounds very good! I think she behaves better there!! At home, sometimes she won't go to sleep... gets too happy... Hmm... :P At least we know she's okay in daycare... and mum is okay today, very busy actually! :P Sally

Woo finally rolling over caught on video!

This morning when I was getting Emma out of the bed for her 2nd feed, I couldn't find the camera's memory card. Oh well, so I put her down for tummy time anyway and thinking, I bet she's gonna roll over this time and we'd miss it on video again! Yep! Damn! Later I found the memory card and put her on video again... but it only has 7 mins left! Bummer... I thought she might roll over just as the camera is running out of memory... no no, she didn't. Very close so many times though! But now I know what the secret is for her rolling over... She'd have one arm straight and pushing hard, the other tucked in... and she always likes to wiggle to a certain direction very hard... and babies have heavier heads :P So... she just keeps pulling towards one direction and... way she goes... rolls over.
